Save the date for August 17, 2024! Pedal the Preserves is an exciting cycling event, benefiting the Forest Preserve Friends Foundation. All levels of cyclists are welcome.

Take advantage of our bike to camp option with specially reserved campsites at Middle Fork River Forest Preserve. Camp overnight on August 17.

The Prairie Cycle Club (PCC), founded in 1971, is a local not-for-profit social group for bicyclists in Champaign and adjacent counties in Illinois. PCC serves a variety of bicyclists including beginning riders, recreational riders, touring cyclists, long distance riders, commuters, and racers. We need volunteers! 

Volunteers are needed to help with set up, registration, aid stops, route support and camping support. This event is hosted by Champaign County Forest Preserves and the Prairie Cycle Club. By volunteering you help ensure the success of a fun, community event and support the Forest Preserves Friends Foundation which funds the preservation and maintenance of Champaign County’s Forest Preserves.
