Adding Additional Space

The existing nature center, the Homer Lake Interpretive Center, opened in 1974.  The facility is approximately 2,000 square feet and home to staff workscape, exhibit space, and education programming areas.  In order to provide an educational space that meets the needs of staff and visitors, the Forest Preserves are renovating the facility and planning an addition.
