Forest Preserve: Homer Lake
Location: West side of Sandy Beach Cove Trail
Join Forest Preserve staff to give a hand to nature on Earth Day by removing invasive plants. All ages and experience levels welcome. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Stay for as long as you want. Long pants and closed-toed shoes required. Terrain is uneven and could be wet. Tools and gloves provided, but bring your own hand spade, gloves and reusable/washable large tote bag if you have them. Please email if you will be bringing a group of more than 5. - You can bring your own reusable tote bag.
