Location: Meet at parking lot next to Natural Playscape
Save the date for the first Garlic Mustard Removal Volunteer Event of the season! Our Natural Resources staff will need your help to remove the highly invasive garlic mustard at Homer Lake Forest Preserve. Please wear long pants (ankles covered) and closed-toe shoes. Garlic mustard removal involves walking off trail and bending to pull the plant from the ground. Staff will train volunteers on how to identify and remove the plant. Please check our social media pages the morning of the event for any cancellations!! Location and more information will be added closer to the date of the event.
