Follow the signs to the trailhead after entering the preserve. The trail is 0.75 miles with a dirt surface and light hills. Areas will be wet and muddy, but passable in athletic or hiking shoes. Sandals are not recommended.
After all the recent rain, many different types of fungi are popping up and waiting to be discovered. We will walk the trail while identifying fungi that we find, talking about the wonders of decomposition, and photographing the beautiful and often misunderstood mushrooms.
